Douleur - Beneground - 1988

Douala Alexandre a.k.a. "Douleur" released his first album in 1983. In 2003 he won the Kora All African Music Award for Best Male Artist of Central Africa with the song "Gloire aux femmes" from his album "C'est magique". Although "C'est magique is a fantastic record and "Gloire au femmes" an irresistible and catchy dancefloor killer, my personal favorite remains Douleur's 4th album "Beneground" released in 1988. The song "Musango" from this album is in my opinion one of the highlight of modern Makossa.
